On the 5th March 2016 Pioneerspark Neighbourhood Watch held a fundraiser braai. We as a community worked together to arrange donations for various items for our big day.
The outcome of our fundraiser was amazing, we had an outstanding turnout and a brilliant profit made on the day. We would like to thank Stein Engen , Henk van Wyk, Buks Bock for donating lambs for our braai, Gerrit for donating a kudu for our wors, Food lovers Market for donating all our salad ingredients, OK Grocer for fresh brotchens , Nambil, Duimpie a dedicated patroller for donating the pasta, Rebekka who had our wors made, Werner for all the ice on the day, Mario and Plastic Packaging, all our members that made cash donations and all our community members for our cold drinks and for all our awesome ladies and Stein Engen who made the salads for the day! Lastly thank you to Rene for all the organising and time it took for the day to be a success.
This was our second fundraiser and plan to do a fundraising event every 6months to involve the whole community to be a part of something wholesome and uplifting.
Our funding that we have received so far from our fundraising events is to go towards specialized cameras for our suburb. These cameras will be able to help keep Pioneerspark safe, they can record incidents, car registrations, faces etc
Every event that our neighbourhood watch holds will be with the same intention, keeping Pioneerspark safe! Our fundraisers bring our community together, you learn to know your neighbour, and help each other.
